Dave talks with Craig Martin who is currently leading a push for the North Hobart Demons to again play in the statewide league.

In 2014 the Hobart Football Club and North Hobart Demons merged to form the new entity Hobart City Demons.

Sadly it has torn both clubs and today they are a shadow of their former glory.

North Hobart has been playing for over 135 years and next to Port Adelaide are among the most successful in Australian Football.

One of the big issues for supporters is a constitution that was written by the former AFL Tasmania administration that makes it impossible for members of the football club to appoint the club’s board members.

Craig and his many supporters have written to the new AFL Tasmania administration and its hope the club and its identity can be restored for the 2017 season.

While 2016 was a good year for the club on  field Craig Martin says off field one one of the most successful clubs is now struggling and a return to the North Hobart Demons would help those who walked away a few years ago return to the club and restore  it to glory.
