This weekend we have the sad job of farewelling our Weekend Evening announcer, Mark Foyle. Mark hails from Adelaide originally, where he also volunteered in the Christian radio station, and has been living and working in Hobart for the past eighteen months. Mark’s day job is Public Relations Secretary for the Salvation Army here in Hobart, and he’ll be taking up that exact same position back in Adelaide.

Mark says, “I’m looking forward to being back with my wife & family in Adelaide and they are very excited to have me home. I will miss Tasmania and the warmth of the people, the beauty of the state and the lovely cooler weather! I’ve loved my time at Ultra because everybody at the station has been so welcoming to me.  I love sharing with the people of Hobart the great music we play, and sharing with our listeners the way they can get in to community activities through the events in our What’s On Guide. I wish so much that I could stay longer! This last 18 months has been significant to my life, and a time I will never forget and look back at very fondly the community I was privileged to share in for this time. Thanks to Ultra for allowing me to join you – I hope I can still be regarded as a part of your station family from a distance.”

All of us here at Ultra want to wish Mark a very happy and successful transition back to South Australia. Thank you so much for all you’ve given to the station. We’ll miss you!
